GENERAL RULES
- By registering to participate in the tournament, all contestants agree to abide by all official rules and tournament guidelines.
- Contestants must be ages 13 and up.
- Tournament matches will be held on both Xbox 360s and PS3s.
- The use of any game breaking glitches are banned.
- Contestants are expected to act respectable at all times. Bad attitude, foul language and unsportsmanlike conduct can result in a disqualification from the tournament.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own gamepads or joysticks. A limited amount of gamepads and joysticks will be available for contestants to use at the event. Buttons can be mapped to player's personal preference. However, the use of shortcut buttons is strictly prohibited for joystick users. For example: Assigning the command LP+MP+HP to RT. We want to see a display of real skill.
TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES
- Competition Days will consist of Pro and Casual tournaments.
- Each Pro tournament will consist of 8 contestants. Starting brackets are determined randomly. Contestants advance to the next round by defeating their opponent. Each contestant who wins a Pro tournament is awarded a prize of his/her choice from the list of prizes available for this category. Contestant is also awarded a spot to compete at the Main Event held on June 14th. Contestants who win a Pro tournament cannot re-enter future Pro tournaments or Casual tournaments.
- Casual tournaments consist of 8 contestants. Starting brackets are determined randomly. Contestants advance to the next round by defeating their opponent. Each contestant who wins a Casual tournament is awarded a prize of his/her choice from the list of prizes available for this category. Contestant is also awarded a spot to compete at a Pro tournament.
- Final Matches for Pro tournaments, Casual tournaments and Main Event will be featured through a HI-DEF projector on a 12' screen.
- Contestants who fail to win a Pro or Casual tournament may compete again by re-registering. Please see the Registration section to view the guidelines on re-registering.
MATCH RULES
- Contestants may not use Seth.
- All matches are set to 99 seconds per round and best out of 5 rounds. Handicap must be turned off.
- Main Event matches are set to 99 seconds per round and are best out of 7 rounds. Handicap must be turned off.
- In an event of a Double KO or power interruption, the match must be replayed with the original characters chosen from the previous match.
